National Park Activity

You will be assigned a National Park from the list below and you will create a quick set of PowerPoint slides. Use Wikipedia as your resource for information, but do not get the images you use from Wikipedia. Go to Google and use the images button at the top of the page to find the images you will use. The slides will cover the following topics in order:

Title: This slide will only have the name of the park, your name/names, and an image in the background.

Location: Where is it? What state or states is it in? The image for this slide will be a map showing where in the country it is.

Claim to Fame: What is this park best known for? Half Dome is the best known feature of Yosemite. What about your National Park? The image will be of your park’s best known feature.

If you finish the 3 slides above, then add 1 or 2 of the slides below.

General Description:  Desert? Forest? Describe the landscape. The image will be a landscape shot (wide) and not a close up.

Things to See: If you were to go to this park, what are the must see things to do or see? Use at least 3 photos.

Start by creating the first three slides and use the titles above (Except for the first slide). Then select and add the photos. Lastly, add at least 2 bullet points for each slide. Save your project within the first 10 minutes starting your PowerPoint by naming the file after your park and your name/names (example: Yosemite: John Smith/Jenny Jones).
