IED's Visit to Santa Rosa
Our Sophomore class of engineers visited not only Santa Rosa Junior College, but the college's Shone Farm! Our trip began with the tour of the campus and meeting the 3D animation professor, Clay Atchison, who demonstrated how 3D animation lays the ground work for designing and creating engineering structures and devices. This was followed by talking with Oma Paz, who is a former Dragon and is now the present of the Students Senate for California Community Colleges.
After the campus tour, we drove out to SRJC's Shone Farm which is where we met Kevin Sea, who is the program coordinator and instructor for the Wine Studies program. He gave our students a tour of the winery facility to see the machines used in the wine making process.
It was a day well spend in our backyard!
