Martin Gutierrez-Lopez is the Team Olympus student of week and was chosen for setting a good example for his resiliency, dedication to improvement, and because he personifies perseverance. 
Team Fuji student of the week is Anna Taggesell because of her academic excellence and indomitable will to succeed.

Sophomores and Juniors!  Are you interested in making a difference on campus?  Do you want next year's 9th graders to love SVHS as much as you do?  Join Link Crew!  Come to a 2nd informational meeting on Friday, March 31st in Room J-5 at lunch.  Applications will be available at the meeting.
Wondering how to get ready for your Senior Project Oral Presentations? Go to the Oral Presentation workshops inside the Little Theater during A+ on April 3rd, 6th & May 1st & 4th.
The 29th Annual Sonoma County Math Steeplechase will be held on Wednesday, April 26 at Spring Lake in Santa Rosa.  It's a fun-filled day for students who attend and use their problem-solving skills as they work in groups to complete fun, interesting problems.  Participants all receive a T-shirt and lunch.  If you are interested in attending this years' event, see Ms. Clark in J-15 as soon as possible.  We need 8 students to attend (four 9/10th grade, four 11/12th).

Spring Dance Showcase, "Rise" will be Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8 @ 7 pm in Golton Hall.  Tickets will be sold at the door before each show.  $5 all students, children, & seniors and $8 general admission.
Hurry!! Seats are going fast! Need a ride to Prom? We have great news for you! There are seats available on a luxury charter bus from Wine Tours, Inc. To pick up a bus form and get your questions answered - see Mr. Jones in I3 at lunch. Cost is $15. Bus arrives at 5:30p in the bus circle in front of SVHS.
PSA…In the heart of the Great Pacific Gyre, an island of plastic has built up over the years, and is now two times the size of Texas! By using reusable bags and water bottles or recycling plastics, you will avoid contributing to the plastic stockpile that sets in the middle of our oceans.

Seniors, do you want FREE money?? Log on to your Naviance account and check out all the scholarships we have listed!  There's LOTS of money given out by our wonderful community organizations - something for everyone!  Stop by the CCC if you need help logging on to your Naviance account.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Sonoma State University Summer High School Internship Program (SHIP) for high school juniors interested in science, technology, engineering, computer and environmental science and mathematics. Summer interns will receive $1000 research stipends for 4 weeks of research and have the opportunity to be co-authors on presentations and published manuscripts.  More information in the CCC.
Students interested in the medical or dental field are invited to attend a half day workshop in Santa Rosa on Saturday, April 8th.  Stop by the CCC for a flyer.
