    Tennis @ Petaluma (dismiss 1:30p) – 3:30pm

    Water Polo vs. Cardinal Newman at Sonoma Aquatic Club – BOTF (Battle of the Fans) – 5pm
9/22: Football vs. Elsie Allen – 7:30pm
9/24: Cross Country Vintage Run Fundraiser at Sonoma Plaza – 7:15am

Show your Dragon Spirit at athletic events. Buy a “flashing mouth” for $2 after school outside Ms. Patterson’s office. This supports the SVHS Track and Field team.

Boosters Event!! Come try to kick an extra point at this Friday nights home Football game. "Marys Slice Shack Extra Point".  Enter to kick an extra point and win $100. All classmates of the kicker receive $1 off at Slice after the game. Sign up at the Booster spirt wear tent.

Class of 2020 (Sophomores) - First come, first served to pre-order your Homecoming class t-shirts on Tuesday (9/19), and Wednesday (9/20) in front of the library. The t-shirts are a steal at $20 and show the perfect amount of spirit for this year's theme: Sandlot, the movie. GO SOPHOMORES!!!

Interested in law, travel, and a sport for your brain? Our state –ranked Mock Trial team needs some new members! Come to an information meeting on Thursday, Sept. 21 at lunch in the library classroom. Questions? See Mrs. Hansen in the library.

There will be a Car Wash supporting the AVID program on Saturday, Sept. 23rd from 9am-1pm @ the Chevy Dealership in Sonoma. Stop by with your car to donate.

Mauna Kea's student of the week is Laura Zavala for being very helpful in class, she always offers to pass out assignments, she actively participates in class discussions, and she has been a helpful partner and leader in her group.

Ross Neles is the Fuji Student of the Week for brightening up the room every day, and for the ability to balance athletics and superior academic achievement.

Katherine Fonseca is the Team Olympus student of the week for her hard work, sunny disposition, and for her tireless quest to help others.

PSA from AP Environmental Science…Eating and buying locally is beneficial for your surrounding economy, environment, and personal health. Supporting your community’s economy by buying locally will create jobs, reduce your carbon footprint, and provide a healthy and fresh alternative to manufactured food.

COLLEGE and CAREER **Please stop by the CCC for more information**

The following colleges will be visiting campus next week. Please sign up to attend on Naviance and pick up a pass in the CCC. All visits will be in the CCC.
Thursday, Sept. 21st during Advisory - University of Colorado, Boulder
Friday, Sept. 22nd during Advisory - University of New Hampshire

California Scholastic Federation (CSF) application window is currently open & applications are available in the CCC or Student Activities. CSF is a service organization based on your grades from last semester. 10th - 12th graders are encouraged to join. Please submit your completed application and $10 to Student Activities. The last day to join is Friday, September 22. Stop by the CCC with questions.

Ready to Work (RTW) Certification Sessions - will be offered by Sonoma Teen Services starting in October.  Come by the CCC to sign up.
