Hello my journey in education started here in Sonoma. I was working at Hanna Boys Center where I was a Cottage Supervisor for three years where I developed my passion for our youth. I began substitute teaching in the school at Hanna. I decided to finish my degree in Sociology and pursue my teaching credential. During that time after Leaving Hanna Boys Center I worked for ANNOVA a company that provides 1 on 1 aides in public schools. It was a great step in the right direction working in a variety of different settings. That brought me to Sierra School of Sonoma County. There I went from behavior specialist to classroom teacher. I learned a lot about having my own classroom and being responsible for student learning. Upon completing my teaching credential I wanted to test my skills in a public school setting. I took a job with Napa Valley School District in 2005 and worked in an elementary school for 10 years, Middle school for 2 years. In my time in Napa I was coaching football in Sonoma for our youth football program. Two years ago I was blessed with the opportunity to coach the freshman football team here at Sonoma high. The next year I was contacted and asked if I would be interested in moving to Sonoma Valley to teach. From that day forward I have never looked back. Now coaching the J.V. football team I am excited as ever to be a mamber of the Sonoma Valley family.
