Message from Principal Battaglini
Dear Friends:
As the new Principal of Sonoma Valley High School, I am honored and delighted to welcome you to the 2010-2011 school year. The beginning of every new school year holds great promise, offering fresh possibilities and a wealth of opportunities for everyone. I am truly excited to be a part of the Sonoma Valley community.
Thank you for visiting our website, please browse and check back often for news and updates. A team of volunteers and staff have been working on a complete upgrade to the current school website which will launch in September 2010. Once active, it will be our most up-to-date and comprehensive communication channel. The content will include information on our activities, arts, academics, the college and career center, school special events, alumni information as well as opportunities for parents and community members to support our students and programs.
At Sonoma Valley High, we are very fortunate to have a fantastic faculty and support team committed to helping students maximize their own potential. Here, every student has the ability to do great things. Our broad and deep selection of educational programs and extracurricular activities provides an outstanding framework within which each student can climb to their own summit of success.
Our student body is diverse and inclusive and each member contributes their own unique gifts to the school community. It is the combination of these gifts, which creates a vibrant and compelling learning environment. Diversity of people and thought enriches us all and promotes responsible citizenship in the global community. Sonoma Valley High School’s student body proudly reflects the real world of today and the emergent world of tomorrow.
Communication is critical to our individual and collective growth and success. Please do not hesitate to contact me for anything for which I may be of assistance. I have an open door policy and encourage students, parents, alumni and community members to phone, e-mail or stop in my office at any time.
I invite parents, businesses, and community members to become actively involved in supporting Sonoma Valley High. Only with your support can we bring our school to even greater levels of achievement.
I look forward to a very rewarding and exciting year - Go Dragons!
